Fulfilling a tradition several decades old, Sercobe presents this publication wherein an examination of the present situation and perspective of the Spanish Capital Goods Industry is provided. In addition, a summary of the activities developed by SERCOBE in accordance with its corporate goals is also included, being these goals to support and boost the industrial sector which it represents.

Sercobe includes the metal-mechanical and electric-electronic industries in their stages of design, manufacture and execution.

It represents in the European Union one quarter of the manufacturing industry and one third of exports of manufactured products. It employs ten million people and has revenues of 1,779 million euros.

In Spain, a narrower scope is considered as goods for the durable consumption market are excluded. In this case, and centred in Capital Goods, the dimensions are smaller in comparison. Its turnover represents about 42,000 million euros and a direct induced employment of nearly 400,000 people.

It represents 20% of the manufacturing industry, and its exports represents 15% of total Spanish exports.
